    Fortunately we're reading them in order, so we knew the D's from Winter Holiday. Otherwise I'd have been kind of sad at a Swallows and s book with almost no mention of either set of children. (It's odd to think that when originally published, it likely seemed that the series had moved on completely away from the original children little knowing how they'd return for so many books!)

    I had not read Coot Club for about 65 years but it is of course just as I remember it. The magical Norfolk Broads, Arthur Ransome's encyclopeadic knowledge of boats, fishing, bird watching and his hatred of egg collectors are all there.     Arthur Ransome writes so well for children it would seem of ALL ages I thoroughly enjoyed reading it again after so many years. I can recommend it to all budding adults and sailors!

    This book was delivered on time in good condition. Thank you. The series of books by Arthur Ransome is excellent. It's a pity many of todays youngsters do not have the same freedom and space to have adventures.
