Hocus Pocus and The All-New Sequel

Hocus Pocus is beloved by Halloween enthusiasts all over the world Diving once into the world of witches this electrifying two part young adult novel released on the twenty fifth anniversary of the 1993 film marks a new era of Hocus Pocus Fans will be spellbound by a fresh retelling of the original film followed by the all new seuel that continues the story. I will start off my saying I LOVE the original Hocus Pocus movie and book I bought this book to see what the next generation brings to the classic Disney movie This book is geared to the pre teenteen age maybe 8 13 years My hope going into this was that it was going to be the easy light read I was looking for in the Halloween season I really love HalloweenThe book picks up with Max and Allison s daughter Sounds great Sadly I couldn t get past chapter twoThere was internal discussion about her being hopeful about a romantic relationshipcrush on another girl in her class than about any Sanderson Sisters As a mother of 4 daughters I have read many teen books and love them This one was pushing the same sex spirit than any classic witch tales While I don t have a problem with that in general it s geared toward an age group that s way too young I sincerely wish I knew this going in I never would have bought it in the first placeI wish I didn t read as much as I did because it tarnished my love of the original innocent Hocus Pocus It didn t need the sexual twistIt is sitting on my bookshelf with a bookmark at chapter three and will collect dust there forever If anyone wants my copy you re welcome to it

CHARACTERS Hocus Pocus and The All-New Sequel

For all eternityTwenty five years later Max and Allisons seventeen year old daughter Poppy finds herself face to face with the Sanderson sisters in all their sinister glory When Halloween celebrations dont uite go as planned its a race against time as Poppy and her friends fight to save her family and all of Salem from the witches latest death defying schem. Hocus Pocus and the all new Seuel is a delightful read ideal for this time of year Autumn I enjoyed reading this book cuddled up under a blanket with endless cups of teaThe first part of the book is the story from the movie which was exactly like the movie I m happy to sayThe second part of the book is the seuel which is twenty five years later on Halloween night under a blood moon Max and Allison have a teenage daughter who is the main character in the second part and her and her friends accidentally bring the three Sanderson sisters back from Hell and all Hell breaks lose in Salem yet againI loved the mix of characters in this seuel and the diverse characters used tooThe ending has been left open a year from the end of the seuel so there could potentially be another book produced which I d love to read providing they don t take it too far and ruin the story

This part was great, it told the original story, but adding in extra details that really enhanced the movie. This part of the book gets an easy 5 stars. I love the scenes and feelings added and I love th

I absolutely adore the movie Hocus Pocus. I was ten when it was released in cinemas and it as the first time that me and my older sister were allowed to go to the cinema by ourselves. It has always been a firm favourite of mine, one that I re

First part of the book is the Disney classic we know and love The same cannot be said if the second half. The sequel is essentially poorly written fan fiction that has been rushed to print. It truly does not do the original justice. Quite why Disney decided to throw in the sub plot is beyond me it was crudely done in clumsy prose that just made the sequel come across as the amateur reboot nobody wanted. It try

Hocus pocus is one off my favourite movies and to now have it in a book plus a sequel 😀. Even though Ive watched the movie millions off times the book had details. Ino they say nothing beats the first as they are true. The frist part off the book is amazing however the second is good. The cover is Amazing and its bigger than I thought but I would totally say give it a chance because I love it ❤
