This book is very well written. It does a great job of THOROUGHLY explaining concepts that System Engineers use every day. I have several other Linux books, but always find myself cross referencing other books as I read them, since they explain part of a concept but not the entire concept. This book is both an excellent study too

This is an excellent book. I am working with several co workers on mastering the changes from RHEL 5/6 to RHEL 7, and find this a great resource. While I may not take the RHCE, my staff will so I am working with them and my customers to master these changes. As we move forward and begin using RHEL 7/CentOS 7, we will need the skills outlined in this book.

Very well written and well organised

I bought this book on the recommendation of a friend who just passed the RHCE exam. I must say it was money well spent. The author have the excellent grip on the subject material. He provides plenty

The author explains difficult concepts in stripped down, concise language, and he provides plenty of challenge exercises at the end of every chapter to help reinforce the topics covered. He reveals a lot of basic, useful commands that I di

Fantastic book for covering all those boring parts of the RHCSA and RHCE that other online guides won't teach you. Structured really

  11. says:

One of the few books that covers the newer RHEL7 updates like systemd and FirewallD. I think newbies will require some pre Linux knowledge to progress through the lab tests. A very informative read and I like that the author provides an updated errata link at the beginning of the book.

  12. says:

    Seems very good so far.
My only criticism and the reason it only gets 4 stars is because the screen shots are very difficult to make out.
I don't know whether it is just my copy, but some of them are pretty unreadable.

Great study book for RHEL 7
